Purchases with Link

Brea can buy things on websites for you. It pays with your Link wallet from Stripe. You approve every payment in the Link app, and each purchase uses a new one-time card. Brea never sees the card number.

Connect your Link wallet

1. Open Wallet in your settings.
2. Click Connect Link.
3. Sign in to Link and allow access.
4. You come back to the Wallet page. It says Link wallet connected.

If you see “Link did not connect your wallet. Try again.”, click Connect Link again.

Buy something

1. Tell Brea what to buy and where, like “Buy the blue running shoes in size 10 from this page.” Give it the shipping address and contact details if it doesn’t have them.
2. Brea finds the total, with shipping and tax. Then it sends you a link to approve that payment in Link.
3. Approve or decline the payment in the Link app.
4. Text Brea that you approved it. Brea checks with Link, then goes to the checkout page and places the order.
5. Brea tells you when the order is confirmed.

Brea doesn’t ask for your approval again in chat, because you already approved the payment in Link. During that checkout, Brea can make only the purchase you approved.

Rules for purchases

• One payment can be up to $500.
• One approved payment pays for one checkout.
• Brea never pays with a card or balance saved on the website.
• Never send a card number, bank details, or a security code in a text. Brea doesn’t need them.

If Brea isn’t sure the order went through

A purchase is complete only when Brea sees an order confirmation. If the checkout stops before that, Brea tells you the order may or may not have been placed. Check your email or the seller’s website. Brea doesn’t try the same purchase again unless you ask.

If you see “The browser could not enter the approved card, so it did not place the order.”, no order was placed.

Disconnect your Link wallet

On the Wallet page, click Disconnect and confirm. After that, Brea can’t pay for anything.
