Set up Brea on iMessage

1. Go to app.brea.ai and open Messaging.
2. On the iMessage / SMS card, click Connect.
3. Enter the phone number you’ll text from and click Connect iMessage / SMS.
4. The dialog shows Brea’s number. Tap Text “hi”, or text “hi” to that number from your phone.
5. Brea replies with her contact card. Save it so her number is easy to find.

Brea won’t text you first. You have to send the first message.

Texts from other numbers are ignored

Brea only accepts messages from the number you entered during setup. If you text from a different phone, you won’t get a reply or an error. A phone number can also only be connected to one Brea account.

Text messages only

Brea can’t read voice memos, photos, or other attachments over iMessage. If you send one, she replies “I can only read text messages right now.” Send the request as text instead.

Change your phone number

On the Messaging page, open the iMessage / SMS setup dialog, enter the new number, and click Update phone. Text “hi” from the new phone to finish.

Disconnect iMessage

On the iMessage / SMS card, click More, then Disconnect. You can reconnect later.
