Approvals
Brea asks for your approval before it does something important in a connected app or on a website.
What needs approval
Section titled “What needs approval”Brea asks before it does any of these:
- Send, reply, forward, post, or share something to another person
- Invite someone, or accept or decline an invitation
- Delete something
- Pay or move money
- Change permissions, settings, or passwords
Reading, searching, and small changes to your own things that are easy to undo usually happen without asking. Examples are marking an email as read, adding a label, archiving, or saving a draft. When Brea isn’t sure, it asks.
Purchases are different. You approve each payment in the Link app, so Brea doesn’t ask again in chat. See Purchases with Link.
What a request looks like
Section titled “What a request looks like”Brea first tells you what it wants to do. Then it sends the request as a new message. The request names the app and the action, lists the details, like who gets the email, and ends with “Reply ALLOW, ALWAYS, or DENY.”
For a browser task, the request starts with “Use” and the websites, and shows the task.
How to reply
Section titled “How to reply”Reply with one word:
- ALLOW does it this one time.
- ALWAYS does it now and doesn’t ask again for this action.
- DENY doesn’t do it. Brea replies “OK, I did not do it.”
Your reply answers the newest open request.
About ALWAYS
Section titled “About ALWAYS”ALWAYS covers every later use of that action, not only this one. For example, ALWAYS on sending an email lets Brea send any email you ask for without asking again. For a browser task, ALWAYS covers browser tasks on the same websites only.
You can’t undo ALWAYS in settings. To remove one, contact support.
Requests expire
Section titled “Requests expire”A request expires after 1 day. If you reply after that, Brea replies “That request expired, so I did not do it. Ask me again if you still want it.”
