Check if an automation is working

Brea doesn’t message you when an automation has a problem. Check the Automations page in your dashboard instead.

Go to the Yours tab. A healthy automation has no label at all. Only ones that need attention are marked:

  • Starting means Brea is still setting it up. This clears on its own within a minute or so.
  • Paused means you paused it. Tap it and click Resume.
  • Not running means it could not be set up. Tap it to see why.
  • Run failed means the last run hit an error. Tap it to see the error.

Tap any automation to open it. The detail view shows Active in green when everything is fine.

Tap an automation under Yours and scroll to Recent runs. It lists the last ten runs and how each one went:

  • Succeeded shows a short summary of what the run did.
  • Failed shows the error.
  • Skipped means there was nothing for it to do.

If you see “Runs appear here once this automation starts”, Brea is still setting it up. If you see “No runs recorded yet”, it’s set up but hasn’t run yet.

Brea stays quiet when a run finds nothing to report, so this is often normal. Check Recent runs to confirm it’s running.

If runs are succeeding but you aren’t hearing anything, click Reconfigure and check that Send me the results is on and pointed at the right app.

Tap it to read the reason. The most common one is that Brea has no way to message you. Message her on Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, or iMessage, then reconfigure the automation and pick that destination.

The error usually names the app involved. Open Integrations, click Manage on that app, then Reconnect.

Reconnect the app on the Integrations page. Automations start working again on their own.

Open a ticket. Include the automation’s name and what you see under Recent runs.
